The Senior National Team, Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in the country after failing to qualify for the next stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

According to sources, they arrived ‘quietly’ at about 3.a.m Thursday, 20th January 2022.

The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Morocco when they played their first match in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

Although the team needed an outright win to stand firm in the competition, it had a 1-1 drawn game with Gabon.

Despite these, many Ghanaians were hopeful that Ghana could win its game against Comoros but unfortunately, the match ended 3-2 against Ghana.

In the end, Ghana secured only one point, while Comoros also had 3 points and therefore both teams could not qualify for the next stage in the ongoing tournament.

Meanwhile, Morocco and Gabon have made it through to the next stage of the competition.

After their defeat, the Ministry of Youth and Sports summoned the GFA over their abysmal performance at the AFCON.

The outcome of this is yet to be known to the public.
