Bompeh

More than 50 students with the Bompeh Senior High School sustained injuries while on their way to school after a moving train engine seized and all doors locked.

The Bompeh students who were occupying the train were forced to break the window to escape. Others also used the emergency exit point. Many got injured after landing on the broken pieces of the train’s window.

According to reports, the students are currently on admission at the new Takoradi Clinic while others have been transferred to other health facilities.

The Personal Manager for Ghana Railway company Ernest Arhin visited the victims at the various health centers and assured them that, their bills would be paid.

Meanwhile, he assured them that the rail was the safest way of transportation in the country, and encouraged them not lose hope.
