Cape Coast: Boyfriend of murdered student remanded for two weeks

A Cape Coast Magistrate Court has remanded into police custody the boyfriend of the Cape Coast Technical University student who was murdered last Friday.

The suspect, Nicholas Ato Taylor was arrested by the Regional Police Command Monday morning and was put before the Cape Coast Magistrate Court B. He will reappear before the court on May 31, 2022.

The victim, Nana Ama Clark, who was a Level 300 student, was found dead at the Ola Estate near the Ola College of Education with somebody parts cut off.

The lifeless body of Nana Ama was found lying at the roadside by some residents at about 9 p.m. last Friday.

The Police said they had had information that a female adult was found lying dead on the roadside at Ola Estate near the Ola College of Education, Cape Coast.

The family of the victim has been duly informed of the sad incident.

She said the Police proceeded to the scene and found the body of Nana Ama lying naked with her private part cut off and bruises on the body.

The body of the late Nana Ama has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, the Suspect, Nicholas Ato is to reappear in Court on May 31, 2022.
