Chinese Embassy to Ghana Donates Medical Supplies to NPP

The Chinese Embassy in Ghana has handed over medical supplies to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The donation was provided by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Hon. Frederick Blay, Chairman of the New Patriotic Party received the donation on behalf of the Party.
Speaking at the occasion, the  Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. ZHU, noted that, in February 2020 this year, when the Chinese were at the height of the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana and NPP Party Chairman, Freddie Blay wrote a letter separately to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China to express solidarity and support for the Chinese people to fight against the pandemic.
This, according to him, was a strong testament to the brotherly friendship between the two parties and would be recorded in the history of our two countries.
“As the Ghanaian people are suffering this trying time, the Communist Party of China empathizes and stands firmly with the Ghanaian people in contending with this daunting challenge he noted. The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China therefore made special arrangements to donate anti-epidemic supplies to the New Patriotic Party,” he said.
The Chinese ambassador noted that the Chinese side will continue sharing experiences in disease prevention and treatment with Ghanaians to win the battle against major communicable disease and build a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.
