The five-member committee set up by President John Dramani Mahama to investigate three petitions against the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, will begin its hearings tomorrow, Thursday, 15th May 2025.
The committee, chaired by Supreme Court Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang, was constituted in line with Article 146(6) of the 1992 Constitution, following a prima facie determination and in consultation with the Council of State.
According to a statement from the Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the committee is expected to sit three times a week and submit its recommendations to the President upon completion of its work.
