Covid-19: Public urged to adhere to protocols as cases hit 1,156

A reduction in compliance of the COVID-19 safety protocol  account for the rise in COVID-19 cases, the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said.

The President who said this during the 19th Covid-19 update Sunday evening said government has observed that a reduction in compliance with the preventive protocols account for the increase in infections.

“Now more than ever, we must adhere to mask-wearing, hand washing the use of sanitizers and social distance protocols that have become a part of our daily routine which have ensured that we do not impose all over again the restrictions we are seeing in other parts of the world,” the President said.

He stated that the country has recorded a total of 1,156 active cases of the coronavirus.
