COVID-19: UCC suspends all academic activities

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has suspended with immediate effect all academic activities due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) scare.
In a statement by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), the noted that, “Four additional cases with each person having come into contact with at least 20 people and one being a student hence the student representative body together with the decision making body of the university wishes to announce the abrupt halt in lectures and other public functions starting tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, the SRC stated that any other information will be communicated to the students, urging them to stay safe and take all the preventive measures into use.
