Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is today, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, expected to meet the Otumfour Mediation Committee handling the Dagbon chieftaincy stalemate.
This follows the announcement of a roadmap to restore peace to Dagbon in the Northern Region.
The Committee of Eminent Chiefs led by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II resolved recently that the Abudu and Andani royal families should perform the funeral rites of the late Ya Na Mahamadu Abdulai IV from 14 December 2018 to 28 December 2018; and the funeral rites of the late Ya Na Yakubu Andani II from 4 January 2019 to 14 January 2019.
Nine out of 11 Metropolitan and District Chief Executives from Dagbon are to witness the occasion.
Representatives of the Dagbon Forum as well the Dagbon Malimi Zungo (DAMAZ) have been invited.
