Deputy EC Chair Bossman Asare resigns, Samuel Tettey retires

Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has announced that the Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Bossman Asare, has resigned, effective July 31, 2026.

He also confirmed the retirement of the EC’s Deputy Chairperson in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey.

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu made the announcement while addressing journalists at the Jubilee House in Accra on Monday, June 15, 2026.

According to him, Dr. Bossman Asare indicated his intention to return to academia to continue his work as a lecturer.
