The 60 queens who qualified at the auditions of Atinka TV’s award-winning reality show, Obuasi Gringo Bitters Di Asa Season 8, were officially welcomed with an all white arrival party on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Dor Events.
The queens, sponsors, staff and audience were treated to good food, and good music from Sasem Band.
At the event, they were all introduced to the public with their short codes and stage names and it came along with some dance moves.
Winners of the past seasons and past queens also mounted the stage to also entertain the audience.
Welcoming the queens to the main show, the Acting Managing Director of Atinka Media Village(AMV), Mr Christian Akomeah Marfo revealed that the winner of Di Asa Season 8 will get a Saloon Car and packages from all the sponsors of the show.
The First Runner-up will get a mini truck (Abossey Okine Macho) with packages from the sponsors while the 2nd runner-up gets a tricycle with packages from the sponsors of the show.
Aside from the above, there will be consolation prizes for all the queens in addition to souvenirs from the sponsors of the show.
Mr Christian Akomeah Marfo also urged the queens to obey the rules and regulations of the competition.
He again encouraged the public to vote for their favourite contestants to get them to the top.
The Producers also made it known that there will be evictions on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm respectively.

Background
On Friday, May 24, 2024, Sika Hall inside Atinka Media Village hosted the launch of the Obuasi Gringo Bitters Di Asa season 8.
This year’s Di Asa, dubbed “Dance for Peace,” seeks to promote peace and unity amongst Ghanaians as the country gears towards the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Aside from promoting peace, it will also thrill audiences with top-notch entertainment and exciting performances.
60 Contestants from all regions across the country qualified for the main show at the auditions and they all arrived in Accra, at Atinka Media Village to kickstart the main competition.
After their arrival at the main Di Asa House, they all underwent medical screening at the Entrance Hospital to ensure they are fit for the task ahead.
Organizers of the show have assured the public that the Obuasi Gringo Bitters Di Asa Season 8 will be bigger and better.
