The Electoral Commission(EC) of Ghana has cautioned the public against wearing of branded facemasks and paraphernalia at polling centres on election day.
That, the EC Reiterated is against the laws of the lands and as well can cause chaos at polling centres.
According to the EC, it will ensure that all safety protocols are observed at polling centres to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease.
“The face masks that people would wear should not be party-branded. So they should wear the face mask but not the party-branded ones,” the Director of Electoral Services of the EC, Dr Serebour Quaicoe, said in an interview with the Daily Graphic.
Meanwhile, the EC has made it known that it is fully prepared for the December 7, 2020 elections.
“7th December, 2020 is Election Day! Every vote will count so all registered Voters, are urged to turn up and vote peacefully,” EC stated.
