Dr. Bawumia Donates GH¢100k to Injured NPP Polling Station Officer

Former Vice President and the 2024 NPP Presidential Candidate, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has extended a helping hand to Mr. Bernard Mensah, a polling station officer in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency, with a GH¢100,000 donation. 

Mr. Mensah suffered a severe electrical accident while fixing streetlights during the 2024 election campaign, a task he took on to improve visibility and security in his community. His injuries required extensive medical care, leaving him and his family in a difficult situation. 

Touched by his dedication and sacrifice, Dr. Bawumia made the financial donation to support his medical bills and recovery. The gesture was presented on his behalf by Central Regional NPP executives, including Chairman Percival Quicoo, Regional Secretary Richard Takyi Mensah, and Regional Treasurer Francis Asare. 

During the presentation, the team conveyed Dr. Bawumia’s deep admiration for Mr. Mensah’s commitment to the party and his community.

Mr. Mensah, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Bawumia and the NPP. “I am deeply thankful for this generous support. It gives me hope and strength to continue my recovery. I remain committed to the NPP and my community,” – he said. 

The donation has been widely praised by NPP members and the public, highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s compassion and commitment to supporting those who contribute to the party and nation. 

As Mr. Mensah continues his recovery, the NPP and well-wishers remain hopeful for his full rehabilitation and return to active service.
