Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for Ketu and Former Deputy Minister for Tourism has reacted to some comments with respect to the age of John Mahama’s running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin attacked the personality of John Mahama’s running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
According to the legislator, she failed to deliver on her mandate despite occupying key positions in the past government.
He asserts that the NDC flagbearer made a wrong choice for running mate, as they represent the “same old NDC.”
Lawyer and Politician Maurice Ampaw has also suggested that Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is over 70 years and so she will be unable to perform her duties.
Speaking exclusively on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Nana Fianko, the Member of Parliament for Ketu and Former Deputy Minister for Tourism, Dzifa Gomashie expressed disappointment in Alexander Afenyo-Markins comment.
According to Dzifa Gomashie, Afenyo-Markin’s assertion that Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang came to the Ministry of Education to perform abysmally and that she could not complete the E-blocks is neither here nor there as the she had only 3 and half years at the Education Ministry.
“As the Vice Chancellor of a Public University in Ghana, the fact that she has represented Ghana on UNESCO for 2 conservative times… looking at the fact that she became the Minister of education for 4 years and performed extremely well, she deserves and honour and not the opposite,” She added.
