Entrance University launches 2021 SRC Week

The Students Representative Council (SRC) of Entrance University College of Health Sciences has launched its 2021 SRC Week Celebration in Accra.

Last year, the University’s SRC week celebration was disrupted by the Covid-19 Pandemic. This year’s edition was launched with the focus of creating awareness on the management and prevention of chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes.

The launch was attended by many gurus in the Pharma industry including the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, Benjamin Kwame Botwe, who urged the students to make good use of the opportunities available to them, since the school is one of the best with facilities and laboratories.

In an inspirational segment termed, “Time with the Chancellor”, the Chancellor of the University, Elder Dr. Nana Amo Tobbin I, tasked the students to study harder to bring to life his vision of opening the school

Speaking on the theme of this year’s celebration: “Management and Prevention of chronic diseases (hypertension and diabetes), Head of Pharmaceutical Services and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at International Maritime Hospital, Dr. Marc Dzradosi, also advised Ghanaians to reduce the intake of junk food, attributing the increase in hypertension and diabetes to poor foreign eating habits.

According to the SRC President, Samuel Atuilik, the four-day celebration will feature health screening, football tournament termed “the Chancellor’s Cup” and crowned with a dinner and awards night.
