Expedite process of evacuating stranded Ghanaians abroad- NDC to Government

The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called on Government to expedite the processes of evacuating stranded Ghanaians abroad.

Although he appreciated government for heading to their calls in regards to evacuating stranded Ghanaians who are abroad, he expressed hope that government will cater or subsidence their hotel Bill’s which falls between GHS500 to 600 daily when they come.
He stated that the NDC is however not happy with the way government has imposed it on the stranded Ghanaians the hotel they should go for the quarantine without consulting them on whether they can pay or not.
He noted that while those who can afford the money are on their way, those who cannot afford are still stranded because they do not have the means to pay for such luxury hotels.
Meanwhile, he stated that Government had secured an amount of over GHS 12 million to cater for people amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, urging Government to ensure that those who are stranded also benefit from it.
Okudzeto Ablakwa therefore called on the Akufo-Addo-Government to re-consider its decision and make those coming in decide on  which hotel they will have the 14 days quarantine instead of imposing it on them.
