Faila ends Cook-A-Thon at 227 hours

Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, popularly known as Faila ended her Cook-A-Thon today, January 10,2024 at 10 am at 227 hours at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.

Her Cook-A-Thon seeks to break a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Faila started her Cook-A-Thon on January 1,2024 with an initial target of 120 hours which surpassed the record which had been set earlier at 119 hours and 57 minutes by one Alan Fisher from Ireland.

Although she wanted to break the 120 hours record, she decided to go do more hours, aiming at 240 hours.

This extension was informed by Ugandan’s Dorcus Mirembe, affectionately known as Mama D, who is awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records judges after successfully cooking for 144 hours.

However, at some point, her Husband, Captain Reginald Agyei said he was afraid for her health therefore the Cook-A-Thon had to end.

She, therefore, ended the Cook-A-thon ended at 227 which so much energy despite standing on her feat and cooking for almost 10 days without sleep.

Faila’s Cook-A-Thon received massive support from Ghanaians.
