Ghana Supporters Union denies receiving $400 for each member

Ghana Supporters Union has debunked allegations made by Mr Abraham Boakye popularly known as “One Man supporter” that each of their members has received 400 dollars from the government.

The group has also denied that the government sent 2000 supporters to the 2023 AFCON.

Speaking to the  Ghanaian media in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday, the General Secretary of the Group, Awal Kassim said,  ” The Ministry of Youth and Sports sent only 20 buses and not two thousand supporters to Ivory Coast”.

Responding to the infamous 400 dollars received by members of the Ghana Supporters Union,  he said the allegation is false adding, “ One-man supporter is aggrieved because of certain malpractices that he got himself into by taking money from companies and that monies were not properly accounted for. When we came back from Qatar,  he stated publicly that he was no longer part of the Ghana supporters union. So, why should we add you to our activities?”  he quizzed

“Our new acting executives are working hard to sustain this union. We don’t only support, we also do other things behind the scenes to help the Black Stars and we hope Ghana will surely qualify for the next stage of the ongoing AFCON,”  he added.
