The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the prosecution of persons involved in the GRA-SML deal.
Speaking at the Party’s Moment of Truth Press conference today 29th April 2024 in Accra, the director of communications for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi demanded the immediate publication of the full KPMG investigative report on the dealings between SML and the GRA.
He added that those who sanctioned those payments have occasioned a huge financial loss to the State.
“We are also demanding the immediate publication of the full KPMG investigative report on the dealings between SML and the GRA and the prosecution of all persons involved in the award of illegal contracts and the illegal payments thereof, to SML,”
“Mr President, why are you hiding the report? Why are you keeping the report? What do you have to hide? What are you trying to conceal.”
“the payments that have been made by the corrupt Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP government to SML under these unlawful transactions, totaling GH¢1,061,054,778, are illegal. Those who sanctioned those payments have occasioned a huge financial loss to the State”, Sammy Gyamfi explained.
