Grand Sales 2022: Trade Fair CEO calls for public participation

The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFCL) in partnership with West Hills Mall has launched the Grand Sales Bazaar 2022.

It is scheduled to commence on August 31 to September 4 at the premises of the West Hills Mall.

Th Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Trade Fair Company, Mrs. Agnes Adu called for public support to promote made -in- Ghana goods by patronizing the grand sales.

She said, the objective of the event is to create opportunity for local businesses to take advantage to sell their stocked products and to expose their products to the Ghanaian community.

She pointed out that the 2002 Grand Sales presents numerous opportunities for Ghanaian businesses and local products.

According to her, the Trade Fair Company has diverse fairs including the international fair, which seeks to create the avenue for businesses to network, however the grand sales is to create opportunity to micro and small scale business to showcase their products and increase sales.

She said, it is important that local manufacturing products are provided with platforms to exhibit and sell their products.

Also, an avenue for 1D1F companies to introduce their products to the Ghanaian community and foreign investors to promote made in Ghana goods.

She urged the public to support entrepreneurship by patronizing this year’s Grand sales to provide jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the country.

Ms Maria Lovelace Johnson, Director of Inspectorate Directorate at the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), said, customers are encouraged to come and participate in view that the FDA will ensure the products meet standard.

However, its presence is not to intimidate companies but to encourage them and ease the processes of FDA registration.
