Hotels, restaurants, drinking spots begin operations

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has rolled out guidelines for hotels, restaurants and drinking spots as they begin operation.
GTA in a statement noted that following the President’s Address to the nation on Sunday May 10, it has been agreed that all hotels can operate as normal and host their guests subject to the specified elevated hygiene protocols and social distancing.
The statement added that food chains and restaurants as well as drinking bars can operate sit-down as well as pick-up and delivery services while observing appropriate social distancing hygiene protocols.
Night clubs, however, still remain closed.
” In all situations, hospitality facilitoes should observe the staff management and workplace protocols and precautionary measures on public gathering with the view of achieving social distancing and hygiene protocols as spelt out in the imposition of restrictions (Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Pandemic,2020 (E.I. 64)”, the statement added.
