President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated clearly that he has no interest in disenfranchising any voter or support any machinations to rig elections in his favour.

According to him, he has been an advocate for democracy and does not need to intimidate anyone in their quest to choose their preferred leader as carried around earlier after many army personnel were deployed in the Volta and Oti Region.

Addressing the public on the upcoming registration of the new voter’s register, President Akufo-Addo was of the view that Ghanaians will elect him with the help of God to continue his mandate and therefore he does not have any intentions to suppress voters.

He noted that the soldiers that have been deployed In the NDC strongholds have been regular, especially when the borders were closed due to COVID-19, adding that residents can testify.

Meanwhile, he encouraged all eligible voters who are of sound mind and above 18 to take part in the registration exercise tomorrow.
