Featherweight title holder, Isaac Zion Dogboe, has expressed concern over how some boxers have given into the celebrity lifestyle and have forgotten about their craft of being fighters and their love for their job.

According to him, some boxers in the country crave celebrity status instead of fully focusing on being boxers.

Dogboe said he was proud to be a boxer and nothing else.

“All the celebrity things are for the people in the entertainment business,”he said.

Isaac Dogboe believes there are a lot of talents here in Ghana, adding that they will excel if they leave the celebrity lifestyle and focus on their career.

“If everything can be done in moderation, I really do believe that Ghana boxing and boxers in Ghana will excel”, he opined.

He talked about the improvement seen in Ghana and and its future, explaining that most of the boxers are now enlightened about the game and how far it can take them if they stay focused.

Isaac Dogboe also hailed the President of the Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA), Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye for his wonderful work and pleaded with all Ghanaians to support him to make his work successful.
