Aspiring Presidential Candidate, for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr John Dramani Mahama, is set to file his nomination to contest the 13th May 2023 primaries on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1.00pm.

Originally, Mr Mahama was expected to file his nomination on Monday, March 20,2023.

However, due to presentation of the party’s True State of the Nation Address on the same day, the filing of his nomination has been postponed.

Mr Mahama officially picked up nomination forms on February 22, 2023 to run in his party’s upcoming presidential primaries.

A Former Presidential Aspirant, Joshua Alabi picked the presidential nomination forms on behalf of former President John Mahama at the NDC headquarters in Adabraka.

“We are here to pick up the forms for his HE John Dramani Mahama. As you are aware, we are in very difficult times in this country, the economy is in shambles, people are suffering and the summary here is that people are crying for the NDC to come back,” Prof. Alabi said.

In a statement signed by Mr Mahama’s Spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, she said,”Originally planned for Monday, the John Mahama Campaign says it is very sorry for the postponement, which is in response to a request from the party to reschedule because of the presentation of the party’s True State of the Nation Address on Monday.”

Meanwhile, she noted that Mr Mahama will continue his first phase tour of the Ashanti Region, which ends today.
