KiDi apologises again over “controversial” tweets

Singer, KiDi, born Dennis Nana Dwamena has for the second time apologised to the general public over some controversial tweets he made years back.

The apology comes after old tweets of KiDi were dug up by some users of the app.

In the tweets that resurfaced, the ‘touch it’ hit maker consistently trolled other celebrities and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party.

This is the second time old tweets of KiDi have resurfaced on Twitter. KiDi apologized for the same tweets in in 2020.

Apologizing in a tweet, KiDi noted that he was ignorant and didn’t understand the implications and consequences of his words as at the time he made those tweets.

In the tweet, KiDi apologized to all persons who were affected as a result of his tweets.

“Years ago when I was young and ignorant and didn’t understand the implications and consequences of my words, I tweeted things that were inappropriate and unkind.

“As I matured, I came to be extremely regretful of these actions and how they affected the parties involved.

“I want to apologize again to everyone for the statements I made, and use this to remind us all to be mindful of the things we say and how they affect people. Let’s be kind to each other,” he tweeted on Thursday September 29, 2022.
