Kikibee CEO’s death: Court finds girlfriend not guilty of murder

The Madina District court has discharged Mam Yandey Joof, the lady standing trial over the alleged murder of her boyfriend Benett Agyekum Adomah alias Kikibee.

The court discharged the accused person, a hotelier and girlfriend of the deceased following advice from the Office of the Attorney General.

According to a GNA report, prosecution told the court that “advice from the Attorney General is ready and we have been asked to discharge the accused person.”

Joof was in a state of disbelief and wept uncontrollably following her discharge.

Susana Nyarkotey, presiding over the court, discharged the accused in compliance with the Attorney General’s advice dated on February 8, 2024.

“They found no fault with you,” the Magistrate said.

Her relatives carried her away into a waiting vehicle after the Judge discharged her.

Mam Yandey Joof was on a GH₵200,000 bail and facing murder charges following the death of her boyfriend, Kikibee, the owner of Kikibee restaurant.

Kikibee is said to have behaved strangely in Joof’s apartment and threw things about haphazardly claiming some people were after his life.

Joof and a friend rushed him to the hospital, but he (Kikibee) allegedly died shortly on arrival.
