Kumasi ready for 63rd Independence Day Parade – Regional Minister

  
Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, says the Ashanti Region is ready to hold the
March 6th  Ghana’s National Day which celebrates Ghana’s Independence from the United Kingdom in 1957.
The 63rd Independence Day  will be marked on Friday March 6th 2020 in the Capital City of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi.
The 63rd Independence Anniversary will be celebrated under the theme “Consolidating Our Gains”.
Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, explained that region feels elated to organize Ghana’s 63rd Independence Anniversary celebration.
He noted that due to the national event in Kumasi, Municipalities ad districts in the Ashanti Region will not hold separate parades.
“We hosted the National Farmers day for the first time and it was a nice experience, we are ready for the 63rd Independence Anniversary celebration on Friday 6th March 2020,” he said.
Ahead of the 63rd Independence Anniversary, the Ashanti Region held a clean-up exercise to get rid of dirt in the area.
