President John Dramani Mahama has highlighted significant socio-economic progress in Ghana, noting that during the first and third quarters of 2025, over 1 million Ghanaians secured employment, reflecting a positive trajectory in the nation’s economic growth.
Citing official statistics from the Ghana Statistical Service, the President also reported that approximately 950,000 people emerged from multidimensional poverty over the same period, signaling improvements in living standards and social welfare.
“This improvement indicates that our economy is gaining strength and resilience on the global stage. We are moving decisively from planning to action on our flagship 24-hour economy,” President Mahama stated, underscoring the government’s commitment to creating jobs, reducing poverty, and sustaining economic growth.
These figures point to both employment creation and poverty alleviation as central pillars of Ghana’s development strategy, demonstrating progress in economic policies and social interventions.
