Shadrack Mc Pog, a security man of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transporation Limited, is in court after accusing Fisheries Minister, Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, of cheating on her husband.
The accused is being charged with offensive conduct; with the intent to provoke breach of the peace after accusing the minister of having sex with another man even though she is a married woman.
The Circuit Court presided over by Mrs Hellen Offei, has subsequently granted a GH¢30,000.00 bail with three sureties to the accused.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge of offensive conduct even though he admitted the offense in his cautioned statement to the police.
According to the prosecution led by Chief Inspector Emmanuel Ohene Agyei, Shadrack Mc Pog made the allegation on February 2, 2010 on a political WhatsApp platform. The accused allegedly posted on the platform a picture of a man he claimed was having an affair with the married Minister, who is also the MP for Krowor Constituency. He uploaded a recorded audio which made a direct accusation against the minister .
