Manhyia palace has placed a ban on funerals in Ashanti Region ahead of the 20th anniversary celebration of Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
The ban on funerals which is in accordance with the Asante customs and traditions, will commence Monday April 8 to Monday, April 29 2019.
The ban was announced in a statement signed by the Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace, Kofi Badu.
