Medeama SC are the new Ghana Premier League Champions.
Sunday’s 3:0 victory over Tamale City at Tarkwa’s Akoon Park secured the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League championship for the Tarkwa club.
This is the first time in the history of Ghanaian football that Medeama has won the league championship. The Tarkwa based team won with 60 points, followed by Aduana stars with 55 points, Bechem United with 54 points in third place, and the porcupine warriors with 52 points in fifth place.
This victory allows Medeama SC to compete in CAF Champions League qualifiers.
Tamale City, meanwhile, joins King Faisal and Kotoku Royals in the relegation zone following their loss.
