Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold whose investments are locked-up in the company hit the streets of Tarkwa in the Western Region on Friday to demand their locked-up monies from government and the company.

About 1.8 million customers are frustrated about their inability of the company and the government to pay back their invested capital.

Clad in red attire and with placards with inscriptions, “Nam 1, what happened to the validation exercise”, “Don’t politicise our money with our life”, “Who owns Metalica refinery”.

The irate customers expressed disappointment in the Akufo-Addo-led government for not taking actions against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold.

They questioned why Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as Nam1 is being shielded by security personnel instead of paying their monies.
