Menzgold will bounce back soon, we're correcting our mistakes – NAM 1 (Audio)

Nana Appiah Mensah, Chief executive Officer of gold dealership firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited, has given the assurance that the troubled firm will bounce back soon.

The firm has consistently deferred payments of dividends to investors after the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), halted some aspects of its operations earlier this year.

On Sunday, the company issued a statement, saying it will start paying clients part of their initial gold collectibles value from Friday (November 9).

“As promised, we are glad to indicate that, fifteen percent (15%) of the initial gold collectibles values committed to the buying and selling on the Menzgold 'Gold Vault Market' would be paid beginning 9th November 2018…”

“These 15% percent termination payments would be made via bank transfers into beneficiaries’ bank accounts following a well-structured 'transactions schedule'," the statement added.

Speaking on his radio station Zylofone FM Monday , Nana Appiah Mensah said the issue with SEC and BoG will be resolved, adding that dialogue can normalize the situation.

“…Menzgold will be back on its feet soon and it will perform far better than the last five years. This issue will be resolved amicably because the authorities who are also Ghanaians are listening right now,” he said.

He further appealed to SEC and BoG to deal leniently with his Menzgold since it was a young company and that it is ready to learn from its mistakes. He promised that the company would come back strongly and even perform better on the international market after current turbulence.
