NALAG congratulates Mahama

The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on his resounding victory in the 2024 Presidential Elections. The association, under the leadership of its President, Hon. Alfred Asiedu Adjei, lauded the outcome as a reaffirmation of the people’s trust in his vision and commitment to Ghana’s progress.

In a statement issued by Hon. Alfred Asiedu Adjei, he emphasized that H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s return to the highest office is a testament to the enduring confidence Ghanaians have in his leadership. “This victory reflects the collective hope of the nation for a brighter and more inclusive future, where democracy, social equity, and sustainable development remain at the forefront,” he remarked.

Hon. Adjei highlighted the critical role of decentralization and local governance in national development, expressing optimism that the new administration would prioritize empowering Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs). “Your Excellency’s leadership provides a unique opportunity to deepen decentralization, equip MMDAs with adequate resources and autonomy, and strengthen their capacity to deliver transformative development at the grassroots level,” he stated.
