Nana Agradaa Released From Prison After Eight Months

Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned evangelist, has been released from Nsawam Prison after serving eight months in custody.

Agradaa, who was initially sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, for defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement, had her sentence reduced to 12 months by the Amasaman High Court. The court described the original punishment as “harsh” after her legal team successfully challenged the ruling.

Her release comes under Ghana’s standard remission rules, which allow inmates to be freed after serving two-thirds of a revised sentence.

Agradaa has since reunited with her husband and family. Her husband, Asiamah, confirmed her return in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, writing: “Thank God my wife is finally home.”

She is expected to make her first public appearance later in the day by joining members of her church for fellowship
