National Cathedral: Kusi Boateng welcomes CHRAJ probe to clear his name

Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, Secretary to the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, has welcomed the decision of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, to drag him (Kusi Boateng) before the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) over corruption allegations.

The North Tongu MP has petitioned CHRAJ  to investigate  the respected man of God over alleged corruption, conflict of interest, and abuse of office

However, in a statement issued today, Rev Kusi Boateng said, “| look forward to the (CHRAJ) enquiry during which | will present my side of the matter to the Commission.”

“| wish to assure the general public that the statements made by Mr. Ablakwa are a twisted narration of events to pursue a malicious political agenda. There has never been any criminal intent nor any crime committed in my dealings with the Government of Ghana or the National Cathedral,”

According to him, he will later address the issues fully in public without first seeking to prejudge the public mind, as he has done.

“Additionally, when all is done, | will seek redress against Mr. Ablakwa for his deliberate defamatory statements against me,” Rev. Kusi Boateng warned.

“| will continue to contribute my quota to the National Cathedral project and offer my services to the Country to the best of my ability,” he assured.
