"NDC has compensated me with a car" – 'Bobolebobo' Singer

Ghanaian gospel musician, Evangelist I.K Aning has disclosed that he has been compensated with a car by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The ford branded car, according to him, was presented to him after he threatened to sue the party for using his ‘Bobolebobo’ song for their campaign during the National Delegates Congress in November 2018.
“The party met with my Manager and agreed to compensate me with the car. I am currently using a Ford car presented to me by the party,” he told Neat FM’s Entertainment Ghana show host, Kwame Adjetia on Friday.
Background
The ‘Bobolebobo’ song became the toast of most music lovers in 2018, but it gained more attention when the NDC adapted the song for their campaign during the National Delegates Congress in November last year.
However, this didn’t augur well with the composer of the song, Evangelist I.K Aning, who threatened to sue the party for remixing his song ‘Bobolebobo’ without being consulted.
According to him although he considers pursuing the case at the law court, his faith practically limits him in how far he can litigate the matter.
“I have spent money on the song, so if you want the song, you should have informed me for us to sit and share the cost before you go ahead with your version,” he said.
