The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo has been nominated Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture by the President, John Dramani Mahama pending approval.
Aside from his acting prowess, John Dumelo is also a farmer who actively participates in farming and inspires the youth while he employs a number of them.
With his experience as a youthful and vibrant farmer, he brings his experience to complement the work of the sector Minister, Erick Opoku if approved.
The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Clement Abas Apaak, who has served as the Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Education Committee, is also going to deputize at the Ministry of Education if approved.
The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui is also heading the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
Others are Richard Gyan-Mensah who is going for Energy and Green Transition, and Rita Naa Odoley Sowah who is heading towards Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.
These were contained in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President.
Meanwhile, the President has also nominated Lydia Akanvariba as Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms.
