NPP’s Yaw Owusu Swanzy calls for effective implementation of DRIP

Yaw Owusu-Swanzy, a National Communications Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) and officials responsible for managing the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) to ensure its successful implementation for the nation’s development.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s “Ghana Nie” show, hosted by Bernard Lav, Owusu-Swanzy commended the government for initiating DRIP to address the country’s road infrastructure challenges.

DRIP, launched by the Ghanaian government, aims to improve the condition of roads in districts across the country. This initiative focuses on upgrading and maintaining district roads to enhance accessibility, boost economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for Ghanaians.

The program’s management team, constituted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to provide comprehensive oversight.

Owusu-Swanzy expressed confidence in this team, emphasizing that the inclusion of a military officer instills a sense of discipline and order, while the expertise from various ministries ensures informed decision-making.

He highlighted that these measures should allay public fears regarding the potential mismanagement of the equipment and resources allocated for DRIP.

Addressing the concerns of Ghanaians about the effective management of DRIP resources, Owusu-Swanzy reassured the public that the program would be handled with the utmost professionalism.

He urged the officials involved to utilize the equipment and resources efficiently to achieve the desired outcomes.

Owusu-Swanzy also took the opportunity to highlight some of the core projects undertaken by the NPP government, including the One District, One Factory initiative, the Planting for Food and Jobs program, and the Free Senior High School policy.

He emphasized that these projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to national development and urged Ghanaians to consider these accomplishments when voting in the upcoming elections.
