Obuasi East MP, Dr Patrick Boakye Yiadom advocates for women empowerment in 2020

Christians around the world, Yesterday Night, thronged to various churches to pour their hearts out to their maker, to offer thanks and also to ask for a fruitful year.
This wasn’t different across most churches within the Obuasi area in the Ashanti Region where Christians and church goers were busily dancing their sorrows away as they step into 2020.
Speaking to the media after the service, the Obuasi East MP, Dr.Patrick Boakye Yiadom, has called on the public to allow women to actively participate in all sectors of the economy especially governance and leadership.
As a key advocator of the affirmative action bill, he cited Rwanda: where about 65% of the legislatures are women but in Ghana our parliament has a marginal 35 women in the house.
He scolded men who engage in violence against women and urge men to pamper women because they have something that makes our world sweet.
Other women and leaders within most of the churches the news team visited vehemently called on men to honor women especially their wives and employ on them to remain faithful to them.
They took the opportunity to advice mothers to have time for their children for quality upbringing.
