Atinka Media Village (AMV) has launched season 8 of its award-winning reality show, Di Asa, with Obuasi Gringo Bitters as the headline sponsor.
Over the years, Di Asa has brought together plus-size women to shape their ideologies, expose them to the world with their dance skills, encourage them to embrace their natural bodies, and change the perception people have about plus-size women.
This year’s Di Asa, dubbed “Dance for Peace,” seeks to promote peace and unity amongst Ghanaians as the country gears towards the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Aside from promoting peace, it will also thrill audiences with top-notch entertainment and exciting performances.
At the launch, the Di Asa Season 8 logo was unveiled, as were the sponsors.
The former Di Asa queens also stormed the stage to entertain the audience with electrifying dance performances.
Speaking at the launch, the acting managing director of Atinka Media Village, Ishmael Narh, urged Ghanaians to brace themselves for another wonderful experience.
He welcomed all sponsors and supporters and assured them that their journey with Di Asa would not be in vain.
For his part, the Group MD for Tobinco Group of Companies, Mr. Benjamin Amenume, reiterated that “this season eight, with the theme “Dance for Peace,” will focus on preaching the gospel of peaceful elections in the buildup to the 2024 general elections in December.” As part of our tour of the country, the crew will promote “Abatuo Fie,” our comprehensive election coverage program, and engage stakeholders, including political party functionaries, chiefs, and people, about the need to foster unity amid our different political differences.”
He continued, “The aim is to make our past and present Di Asa queens peace ambassadors in their various communities.” I would like to congratulate all stakeholders for making Di Asa the number-one show in the country all these years. And this includes our beloved viewers and listeners, as well as, most importantly, our corporate partners and sponsors who have sustained the show so far.”
He also encouraged viewers to brace themselves for a thrilling experience.
He urged sponsors to expect good mileage, citing the year’s theme, “Our Lord will give us good success.”
Meanwhile, the auditions will start on June 1 at Nsawam Main Lorry Station, then continue on June 3 at Koforidua in the Eastern Region, followed by Ho on June 5 throughout all the regions of the country, and then back to Accra for the final auditions.Ghana| Atinkaonline.com| Porcia Oforiwaa Ofori
