The Deputy Minister of Communications, Mr George Andah has said the NDC’s promise of legalising the ‘okada’ business was copied from the NPP.
According to him, the NPP Government had already put plans in place legalise the Okada business and had announced it earlier but the NDC ended up copying it.
He said this on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie, hosted by Nana Owusu Nkrumah.
“We had already spoken about legalising the okada business and now the NDC is saying they will legalise it when they come to power, they copied us,” he said.
He. however, hinted that government is putting measures in place to make telecommunications accessible and affordable to all Ghanaians.
“What we are trying to do is to create opportunities for our developers to develop local applications for local consumption,” he said.
