Olive Health Diagnostics and Kess Pharma Offer Free Medical Screening to Hundreds in Accra

Hundreds of residents in Accra have benefitted from a free health screening exercise organized by Olive Health Diagnostics & Imaging Centre and KESS Pharmaceuticals, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and early detection of health conditions.

The well-attended event was held at the forecourt of the facility, located on Agbogba Road, and offered a comprehensive range of medical tests, including heart checks, dental screenings, blood sugar tests, eye examinations, Hepatitis B screenings, prostate assessments, Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat analysis, and nerve sensitivity tests.

Speaking during the exercise, Operations Manager of Olive Health Diagnostics, Dr. Benson Owusu, underscored the importance of regular health assessments for all Ghanaians. 

“It’s crucial to check your health regularly. Simple tests can detect serious health conditions early and prevent complications,”- he stated.

He further encouraged the public to embrace healthy lifestyle habits such as proper nutrition and hydration.

On oral health, Ms. Gifty Kortey, cautioned against delaying dental care. 

“Many people seek dental help only when their conditions worsen, which is dangerous. Regular check-ups are essential to prevent long-term oral health issues,”- she advised.

The Marketing Manager of Olive Health Diagnostics & Imaging Centre, Dr. Kwasi Yelarge, explained that the screening formed part of the centre’s commitment to giving back to the community. 

“This is our way of ensuring the people around us remain healthy and have access to critical healthcare services. We want to make healthcare accessible to everyone,” he said.
