Ghanaian Businessman and Founder of Engineers and Planners, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, has fully paid an amount of 8310 US Dollars for a partially blind boy, Ransford Yahannes Agbenu to undergo eye surgery in India.
This follows news publications on Atinka TV, Atinka 104.7 FM and Atinkaonline.com that sought funds from the public to support the boy who was about to lose his sight.
Initially, the boy who was on autologus syrum and other medication needed about GH₵1,500 for immediate medication to sustain his eyes until his family was able to raise $8310 for the surgery.
Upon hearing the news, Mr. Mahama personally supported the boy with an amount of GH₵1,600 while other individuals and groups also supported with money which was used to purchase the medication for the boy.

The Atinka News team used GH₵1,800 from the donations by the public to purchase the boy’s autologus syrum and other medication for three months.
After supporting him, Mr. Mahama promised to fully pay for the surgery a few weeks ago, and finally, he has transferred the money into the account of the hospital that will conduct the surgery.
The transfer was done on Friday, February 2020 into the account of Dr Agarwal’s Hospital in India for the boy to undergo Buston K. Pro surgery.
Meanwhile, the Atinka News team has applied for visas for the boy and his family, pending departure by end of February.
