Ghanaian Gospel musician, Evangelist I.K Aning, is demanding compensation from the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for remixing his hit song 'Wobete Bobolebobo' for their campaign.
The NDC launched different version of the song at their just ended 9th delegates conference held at the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra to elect national executives.
Speaking on the Kumasi Morning Show on Kumasi 104.1FM on Tuesday, 20 November 2018, Evangelist Aning said he was not consulted before hos song was used on the campaign platform and for that reason, the party must compensate him for the illegality.
Evangelist Anning, told show host Akwesi Agudey, that he does not want to proceed to court for the matter to be addressed, and for that reason, his managers are at the negotiation table with the NDC to ensure that he is duly compensated.
The gospel artiste said he went for a loan to promote the song after producers failed to help him.
He reiterated that the NDC must compensate him for using his intellectual property without his consent.
