Photos: One week observation for MoMo vendor killed by robbers

One week observation has been held for the mobile money vendor who was gunned down by armed robbers on Monday, 20th August, 2018.

The father of a three-month-old baby, Promise Atsu Dayi, was murdered in cold blood after the armed robbers took away his day’s earnings.

According to an eyewitness, two men arrived at the scene on a motorbike and begun arguing with the 41-year-old mobile money vendor who was conducting business in the area.

Yesterday, 27th August 2018, marked a week after the sad incident occurred and the family and loved ones gathered at his residence to observe the one week rites.

Spokesperson of the family, James Dorkunoo urged the police not to relent on their duties in ensuring that the perpetrators are caught and made to face the full rigor of the law.

Wife-to-be of the deceased, Mary Dagarte, who could not hide her tears said both had plans of celebrating their traditional wedding by the end of this month. Meanwhile, residents in the area say they live in fear after the incident occurred.
