Presidency Denies NIB Probe into Akufo-Addo’s Travels

The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has dismissed reports that the Presidency has ordered the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to investigate the official travels of former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu stated, “For the avoidance of doubt, the Presidency has not given any order to the NIB to look into President Akufo-Addo’s travels.”

This comes amid widespread allegations that Akufo-Addo used highly expensive flights, including private jets, at the expense of taxpayers during his tenure. While some critics have called for a probe, the government maintains that no such directive has been issued.
