Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to be outdoored today

The Opposition National Democratic Congress will today outdoor Running Mate for Flagbearer of the party, Mr John Dramani Mahama, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
The programme will held at the University of Professional Studies (UPS) at 6.45 p.m.
This will be her maiden major speech after her nomination on June 6, 2020.
Her nomination was a unanimous decision by the party’s executive members as her contenders were equally good for the position.
In a Facebook post to announce the ceremony, Mr. Mahama described the Professor as a distinguished and respected academic with a healthy mixture of innovative policy initiatives, quality outcomes and massive infrastructural development in the education sector to her credit.
Meanwhile, speaking on Atinka TV’s Flagship Morning Show, Ghana Nie, Hosted by Nana Owusu Nkrumah, the spokesperson of the NDC’s 2020 campaign team, Mr. James Agyenim Boateng explained that due to the coronavirus disease, a limited number of persons are expected to attend the programme.
He noted that Persons from the Clergy, teachers or lecturers from the UPS, and others, Women groups, Members of Parliament (MPs), and party members have been invited for the outdooring.
He also stated that the organisers will ensure that all persons who attend the programme will observe the safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He added that after her maiden speech, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will head towards the Central Region to speak with her people and then back to Accra for campaigns to begin.
