Sing-a-thon: Bawumia storms venue to support world record attempt

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stormed the Akwaaba Village to visit Afia Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, a lady attempting the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon – Sing-a-thon.

The record is currently held by Indian Sunil Waghmare who sang for 105 hours in 2012.

Afia Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum started her ambitious journey at midnight on December 24.

On Monday 25th December 2023, Dr. Bawumia, holding a miniature Ghanaian flag, joined the adventurous lady to cheer her up.

The Vice President who was impressed by the young lady’s enthusiasm said “Afia has showcased incredible passion and unwavering determination. Witnessing her talent firsthand, I have no doubt she can break this record. Let’s all stand behind her, cheering her on until she sings her way into the record books!”

Afua’s sing-a-thon will end on 27th December 2023.
