The Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has warned organizers of the ongoing anti-new register demonstration to desist from using its logo.
The group has the logos of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), National Democratic Congress (NDC), All peoples Party (APC) United Peoples Party (UPP) and the PPP on its banners and placards at the ongoing demonstration in Accra.
However, in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Inter- Party Resistance Against the New Voter’s Register, the PPP’s National Secretary, Murtala Ahmed Mohammed, warned against the use of his party’s logo for the demonstrations.
“Kindly desist from using the Party’s logo for your activities. The Progressive Peoples Party is not part of your demonstrations, picketing or any form of resistance.
“We shall be grateful if you could engage the party formally on any future activity,” the letter said.
