Residents of Suame in the Suame Constituency of the Ashanti Region are demanding an immediate apology from the aggrieved artisans who hooted and pelted sachet water at their MP, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu on Monday.
On July 18, 2022, the artisans at Suame Magazine pelted sachet water at the law maker over the deplorable road prior to his meeting with the leaders of the artisans and inspection of the above mentioned road.
But for the timely intervention of the police, the MP would have been seriously attacked.

Leader of the residents, Mr. Obour Sikka at a press conference accused one, Mr. Kofi Senya and Mr. George Prempeh (Baashaka) of being behind all that happened on Monday.
They are therefore demanding an immediate apology from the artisans involved.
Mr. Obour Sikka added that, failure to do so will also compel them to retaliate in no time.

Angry Artisans at Suame have stated that they will continue to demonstrate against their Member of Parliament, Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu until their roads are fixed.
On Monday, July 18, 2022, it was reported that the angry Suame magazine artisans pelted their Member of Parliament with sachet water, hooted at him and chanted war songs to register their displeasure over their bad roads amongst others.
This was when the MP went for a work visit to ascertain construction works in the area.
But for the timely intervention of the MP would have been seriously attacked.
Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Abena Dufie Asare Agyepong, Atinka TV’s Obofo Michael who engaged the Artisans explained that already, the Artisans were demonstrating when the MP visited the site.
According to him, the residents complained that a construction work on their road had been abandoned by the contractors who claimed that they had not receive payment for about two months and therefore to halt their work.
Meanwhile, after the attack on Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, he said within two hours, the contractors returned to the site, claiming the MP had spoken with them.
One of the angry Suame magazine artisans who also spoke with Atinka TV said they will not stop demonstrating until their roads are totally fixed.
